Technology solutions for richer and more meaningful analysis of text content exist, unfortunately the solutions themselves are nearly as complex and overwhelming as the web itself.  This has led to an environment where tools for things like analysis of sentiment, semantics or simply word usage on large scales are unavailable to anyone without expertise in machine learning or the means to hire it.  Fortunately advances in human computer interaction have provided techniques for making complex expert systems accessible and understandable for those with less than a graduate level computer science education.

As a graduate student in cognitive engineering, I’ve spent the last few years studying human computer interaction and machine learning.  My research involves designing an interface for machine learning technology to make it more accessible and easier to understand.  In order to begin such a design it is necessary to have a user group and use cases describing specific tasks and goals, thats where you come in.

In exchange for your input and feedback I will design a custom machine learning system complete with an interface designed for you and your needs.  The system will consist of open source machine learning libraries along with a workspace interface to help translate your needs into parameters for the underlying algorithms.
